An albino lizard named Bruno kept interrupting the Universe. Every time the Universe tried to tell him something, Bruno would get impatient and finish the sentence himself.
“Today will be…” - “...awful. Just awful.”
“This is happening because…” - “...everyone is out to get me.”
“Change is…” - “...uncomfortable and unsafe.”
“You will be…” - “...disappointed.”
“After the rain comes…” - “...flooding.”
Bruno didn’t do this to bring himself down; quite the contrary, he just wanted certainty and to be prepared for the worst. It was a preemptive strike, and as it turned out, a good one because the Universe then fulfilled all his wishes.
