Another Terrible Date

Terrence felt his body tense up. His jaw locked, and the brow furrowed. He wanted to pull his hands back even though it wasn’t her fault. She had no way of knowing since this was their first date, and they hadn’t divulged childhood traumas yet. And they wouldn’t. As always, Terrence would cut the date short and never speak to her again, no matter how much he liked her. That was better than having to confess his last name was Bell.
