Misrepresentation

Walter, an ostrich who had inherited the best recipe for plantain bread from his maternal grandmother, soon realized that representing himself in court was a mistake. It wasn’t that he didn’t know the ins and outs of the legal procedures because he had both read Going to Court for Dummies and watched all of season fourteen of Law & Order with closed captions on. But the judge, a spotted hyena named McAroni, had just explained that causing distractions was not a viable defense, and it was way too late to prevent Walter’s cousin’s barbershop quartet, The Flightless Fannies, from showing up.
