Procrustes was a tad obsessive-compulsive with making things fit and align. Every morning he brought out a ruler to measure that his socks were pulled up to the same height, and then he attached them with thumbtacks. When visiting friends, he couldn’t help but rearrange their books by color and size. And it was near impossible for him to watch baking shows until the contestants had learned to make the chocolate eclairs uniform. But when Procrustes landed a gig assembling Swedish furniture, he took it too far as he attempted to stretch or shrink the customers to comply with it.
