Reese Istance--died from acute futility when she came face to face with a Golden Retriever puppy. Reese was on her daily outing to drag her feet around the park when the ferocious beast tumbled into her path, one fluffy ear up, the other flopped backward, and a general expression reeking of boundless curiosity. Breaking through Reese’s otherwise impenetrable disinterest, the little monster then launched a fierce attack with kisses on her left ankle and a softness unmatched by most cashmere goats.
