What the Fork?

Venetia, a dessert fork with ice cream and gondolas in her lineage, was offended and delighted in it. She was insulted that forks next after the mustard ladle and the cake breaker were the least recognized of cutlery pieces, and as long as it stayed that way she was happy. Venetia didn’t need the curvy-cuddly reputation of spoons or the toxic masculinity of knives, all she wanted was to claim herself a martyr, overlooked and underappreciated. That was until the spork came along. Then Venitia was outright furious that it wasn’t called a foon and that was even better.
